Saloon bar

No coffees, teas or milk shakes for my Sepia Saturday entry this week, just a couple of blokes enjoying their bevvies.
Another of my "unknowns" so feel free to use your imaginations!

More beverages are available at Sepia Saturday.

Picnic 1899

I drew a bit of a blank finding an image in my collection to suit any of this week's Sepia Saturday themes. I decided to post another photograph from the group that includes the two previously posted images here and here.
This is one of three board-mounted photographs (128mm wide, 100mm high) dated 1899 and titled "Picnic" but without location details. It was only when I looked at the scan that I realised the chap on the left is holding a camera and what we have here is a photograph of a photographer!

As ever, more of the same over at Sepia Saturday.

Procession

I have an unidentified procession taking place in Alexandria for this week's Sepia Saturday. The board-mounted image comes from the same group of photographs as this one, dated 1894. It's larger than a cabinet card and measures 125mm wide by 192mm high.
I found a couple of other examples of the photographer's work here and here and some information about him here, but I've no idea who is in the carriage or why they're in a procession.

Landing at Dinard

My Edwardians are holidaying in France for this week's Sepia Saturday. They've landed at Dinard in Brittany where we last saw them waiting for tea after a bathe.

A long skirt

Out of the variety of possible themes for this week's Sepia Saturday, I've gone for the long skirt option. Possibly not a 'dangerous' long skirt and certainly not one worn by a worker, but I can't imagine trying to move around wearing that amount of fabric without falling over my feet.
One of 36 London cartes de visite from Peggy's box of photographs; this one by Brixton photographer Henry Ward was taken between 1866 and 1871 when his studio was at 19 Spencer Place, Brixton Road.  Peggy's box contained 80 cartes de visite - 36 from London; 10 from Ilminster, Somerset; 13 from Bridgwater, Devon and 21 from other locations across England.
